Project Opus has just launched the Opus Player: Solo™. Web singles, anywhere.
And with it reintroducing the power of the single to the digital world. With Opus Player: Solo, anyone can now

share that one song everyone has JUST GOT TO HEAR. As easy as cut and paste, Project Opus lets you share your favorite song across the Web with your community of friends.

We launched this service after getting some inspiration from Pete Cashmore. However we had been doing some thinking and research on what it means to have a digital single.

We think singles are still relevant. In fact we think they are more important now than ever before since we fans no longer have to buy a whole album of mediocre tracks to get that one great song. Most songs will have to stand on their own, and they will need to be marketed on their own. How can we spread the word about that one great song?
