Recently I went to a presentation on STATE OF LEARNING IN CANADA presented by Paul Cappon, president and CEO of the Canadian Council on Learning (CCL).

I was shocked to learn that Canada was facing a serious illiteracy problem. He said, "40% of adult Canadians have literacy levels too low to participate fully in today’s economy.
